Plain language, because trust is the whole business. This page explains how the links on Vietnamese Cookbook work and how we make money, as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires.
Affiliate links
Vietnamese Cookbook is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Some links on this site — the “Shop” buttons on the pantry page, the “Stock the pantry” rail on recipes, and the occasional link inside a recipe — are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. We mark these links with rel="sponsored nofollow" and open them in a new tab. Because Amazon prohibits displaying scraped prices, you’ll see a “Shop” button rather than a number — the price on Amazon is always current at the moment you click.
We only point you toward ingredients and tools we would actually use in the kitchen — a claypot, a phin filter, a serious bottle of fish sauce. Fresh items — herbs, produce, fresh rice noodles you’d buy locally — and drinking alcohol are deliberately left off the shop rails; you don’t buy those from a warehouse. An affiliate relationship never changes our honest assessment of a product, and no brand pays for placement in these links.
